Worry about no. Pay attention to yes. The day you board check these boards and others to see if ther is a BIG delay. If there is you may want to hang out somewere else other than just sitting at the port terminal. If you are flying out don't book a real early flight, give yourself some wiggle room.
Don't worry.
If it doesn't happen and all goes well your worrying is waisted.
If the fog does happen and causes you a big delay there is nothing you can do about it and your worrying is still waisted.
We have traveled out of Galveston at least once each year and have never had fog. It must be hit and miss. Just get on the ship and have fun. It does not matter when they pull out -- you will still get to where you are going on time !
We got into port Friday on time but were delayed getting off the ship just a bit. Nothing to do with fog as far as I know. I believe the first people were let off around 8:00 am or thereabouts for express walk offs. We had 8:15 breakfast in Triton's and passed through the throngs of people waiting to get off and they had not yet opened the doors to let people off (this was about 8:00 am).
