i have an ADR at Tony’s with reserved seating for FOF parade. Has anyone done this? Is the parade spot worth it? I have to cancel one ADR . Should I keep that one??

If you're looking for a relatively early lunch and your party likes Tony's then I would say yes. Otherwise, I'm sure you can find a great spot to watch the parade without using a TS credit. Just think about what the crowd side might be that day--it may help you make a decision. Good luck!

Considering Tony's is about equal to heating up a can of pasta and sauce and the parade is easily viewed with no effort anywhere along it's route, it's a very poor choice of an ADR. Parades aren't like fireworks, there isn't an optimum viewing spot since the parade is the same no matter where you watch it from. The viewing area isn't better, can actually be a whole lot worse if it's really hot and sunny, since there isn't a speck of shade. Add in some of the worse TS food on property and it would be the first ADR I cancelled for sure.

It's not reserved seating, it's a reserved spot. I have never had problems finding a spot for the parade. I would cancel.

The area is good viewing, but is in direct sunlight the full time, so consider that.

You can get a good spot at the bottom the train station steps. Right across the street from the reserved locations. They are excellent spots.

Somewhat related. I have a 3:20 ADR at Crystal Palace. Totally forgot the parade is at 3. If we watch the parade at the kick off spot in Frontierland would we make it over to Crystal Palace at 3:30ish?

If you are sure the parade starts at 3PM (it currently starts daily at 2PM until about Christmas) then, yes.

Sorry I meant I have a 2:20 reservation. Parade is at 2. Would I be able to see the parade in Frontierland and make it to Crystal Palace around 2:30?

Yes.
View the parade from close to where it enters the park (near Pecos Bill's Restaurant.)
The parade will conclude there about 2:15-ish.
Then, cross-over to Adventureland and head directly to the CP.

Thanks so much! The only reason I considered the parade reservation is because it will be during Thanksgiving week when it will be crazy crowded. Now not sure it will be worth it. We had heard the food was not awesome.

Did the exact same thing due to Easter week, then cancelled. Not just for the food mixed reviews but the reserved spot is direct sun. I figure we'll do our best to catch it elsewhere.

I did this during my last trip in Feb. I actually really enjoyed the whole experience. The food was decent. We didn’t want dessert so we were given snack credits to use anywhere snack credits are accepted. The location to view the parade was really great. My kiddos were 11 months and 2.5 at the time so I wanted to be able to show up last minute without having to wait too long. We had a huge open area to view from and we got awesome character/performer interaction.

3 adults did this in March. We had never seen the parade, and we thought it was worth it, great location. 2 of the 3 of us really enjoyed the meal. My DH tried a new ( to him) dish, and he was disappointed.
