I've been not so patiently waiting for the March travel agent calendar to come out to finish planning my Feb 26 - Mar 3 trip next year. It finally popped up today, and I noticed that there is no FOF parade listed for my dates. I looked back at the Feb calendar and noticed that the last day it shows the FOF parade there is 2/3/17. I'm almost certain it was on the Feb calendar for 3 pm daily a few weeks ago.

Did I miss an announcement concerning this parade? First MSEP going away, now this?! I might cry.

that seem to be something that has not been left off of schedules before (mostly it's been nighttime shows that haven't shown up on preliminary scehdules). I wish i could be more reassuring; in general, the schedule is likely to change, there has been no word (that Im aware of) of FoF ending/moving/refurbushing, but who really knows?

Normally I would say "give it some time, it will get added". But with all the crazy parade happenings lately, I don't have a clue what to expect. I can't imagine it would go dark for refurbishment when there's no night parade, but who the neck knows these days.

Is "Going Dark for Refurbishment" a euphemism for We want to save more money and without the parade we can lay off more CM's?

According to the CM gossip I've heard, that is exactly the case for MSEP and no immediate plans for a replacement.

It's so frustrating. And suspicious as I'm 99% certain it was on calendar for all of Feb before. We park hop and plan a lot of our days around either staying in MK through 3 pm parade or hopping from another park to MK in order to make the 3 pm parade.

That's what I thought was amusing. A few posters on the other parade thread said that shutting down MSEP was not a money saving move. But I know there are a lot of CM's in these parades.

They are running with minimum CMs right now, at least in the entertainment division I know for sure. With the holiday parties occurring so often during the fall, there's no reason to spend the money on a new parade/parade infastructure like PTN needs, and hiring/training CMs until at least the winter. The CMs who are losing the MSEP and the Jungle Book show shifts aren't being given any replacement hours - at least not right now.

That's really awful.

Also awful that guests paying top dollar (after many price increases this year) are not being offered replacement entertainment.

I'm sorry OP. It may show up again. It's just that lately, the only thing that's predictable at the Disney parks are cuts. I hope the 3pm parade omission is just a fluke, but the only thing you can do is wait and see.

I hope Disney realizes that if they keep getting rid of the stuff they're famous for and that makes them different, people will have less of a reason to keep coming back. They seem to be taking people for granted like never before, and that may well be a mistake

Maybe this is a sign FOF is going to be the new nighttime parade (as some speculated), and they took it off the schedule until they make the formal announcement? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The way Disney is operating now, it is hard to say. Hopefully the FOF times get added later but then again it may be next on the chopping block.

Yes, I for one am getting sick of paying top dollar for what appears to be more and more cuts. I'm going in October, and the number of last minute changes to their schedule is getting crazy. Sure, UO may not be thematically as cohesive as the Disney parks are (for now)...but there have been no cuts to the experience there, so at least I know what I'm getting when I book!

It's getting incredibly difficult to justify the annual cost of our family's AP's. Even as locals, we seem to be visiting less and less often. Last time we were there was in June and I think the previous visit was in April sometime. We've had this discussion countless times and DH feels it's still worth having the convenience of going when we feel like it. In reality, the value we are getting, with restrictions on how far we can book FP+ and the continuous cuts and closures without replacements, I'm seriously questioning our loyalty to the Disney parks.
