We will be there over Easter and expecting very high crowds. The main reason we are doing the DDP is to eliminate wait times where we can - for characters or shows. I plan on doing the Fantasmic package and RoL.

I hadn't heard about FoF dining before - is it worth it? I haven't eaten at Tony's since I was a little girl but I do remember the whole family disliking it so we haven't been back.

You can find great FoF viewing without the Tonys "Package."
(And, BTW, it is not "seating.")

A look at the MK Parade Route-

The 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.

We almost always camp out on a planter right at the start of the parade route just past Pecos Bill's. I will sit and hold spots for about an hour before the parade while DH and DD go get us a snack to enjoy. We can sit on the planter, take a break, have a snack, and get a great view of the parade.

We can camp - just realizing most of the SE is on spring break along with Easter so want to avoid the crazy camp out times that can occur. I think we camped out 2-3 hours for castle show and parade on Christmas.

In crowded times we do Frontierland area - our favorite spot however is at the train station if we can get a bench on the overlook area. Just wondered if the dining area was sparsely populated to get a good view without much hassle or waiting. But if the area is not phenomenal would rather save the ADR to eat at someplace with better reviews.

Don’t count on getting the train station anymore. That area is very often used for VIP viewing, and the seats have mostly been removed.

Dining Pkg viewing area is in Town Square (former FP viewing) and is just fine. But the point is you should not need it.
Tony’s is still considered the single worst Table Service eatery in WDW.
But, if that’s not a problem and you want a reserved spot, have fun!

Yeah think we will pass. Thanks for the heads up on the train station Robo! I would hate to waste a good ADR on an ok spot for the parade. Was willing to give Tony's a shot but only for amazing seating. I think we will camp and keep our lunch at Liberty Tree
