I am involved in an on line focus group right now that I was invited to through a group I do surveys with. I am finding that I really enjoy this and wonder if there are any reliable sources to find other focus groups to become involved in? I did a search b ut it is hard to know what is reliable and what isn't . I do live in a rural Maine area so unless the payment was worth it, it would be unlikely to be worth the travel costs to do one in a city. Anyone know where I can find a site or something that might list some that are available online or that list the city they take place in? TIA

Bumping because I know there must be people here who di this sort of thing. I did find this site that lists some focus groups in cities and also online. Not usre how reliable it is. Any input at all? findfocusgroups.com/ :surfweb:

I'm interested as well. I was in a focus group almost 2 years ago (I think) that was about views on oil, drilling, etc. I applied through surveyspot.com; got an invite in my email. It's the only one I've gotten.

I have 3 I get them through, 20/20 Research, AOL's Opinion Place and Hallmark.

My mom is a recruiter for a market research company and they're always looking for people; sometimes it's one-on-one surveys, other times it's focus groups.

eeyorethegreat - depending on how much you like to travel to say, Boston or Framingham, if you'd like I can hook you up with my mom to see if there's anything available that you might qualify for.

I've also used sites like surveysavvy.com, focusonservice.com (for mystery shopping restaurants), and the 20/20 research (although I haven't done one through them yet).

I actually grew up in Mass (Orange) Now I am in Maine The trip to that area is 4-5 hours dpending on traffic. So after I Pay for gas and possible lodging pretty much anything I earn from the group would be gone. On line stuff I can do. I live in the sticks some would say it is a travel for everything! If she sometimes has market research that can be done online PM me.

I did put in my info for 20/20 so we will see if anything becomes of that. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy the experience but I found it was a lot of fun. Many of the activities took a lot of thought but I really enjoyed doing them. I am sure some projects are more interesting and exciting than others.
