flyLady...can't keep up

Another one that fell off the wagon. The daily e-mails just bugged me.

The emails are getting on my nerves too. So far I haven't stopped them though because I'm afraid I'll fall off the wagon if I do. I wish she would send say 5-7 emails a day with more than one thing in them. Send one in the early morning, one mid-morning, one at noon, one in the afternoon, one in the evening and one later at night. I could deal with that number of emails much easier than getting 30 or more in one day.

I think there is a feature--where you can sign up to get the same info, but in less e-mails...

I can't find it on the sight--but at one point it was in an area that listed How to go on vacation and suspend the e-mails. Oh well--you might be able to e-mail and ask.

I mostly hated the dressed to the shoes part--I'm in Florida--lace ups just to cut it for me day in and day out...but I did notice I did more around the house when I wore them. Maybe that's why I didn't like it :hyper: .

I started about two months ago and loved it. My house really stayed clean and I felt calm and organized. Don't feel like you have to read every email. In fact, I usually only read the missions. Lately they have been sending even more testimonials than usual. I find these to be a total and complete waste of my time. Just check out the subject line and hit delete. Its a great concept, so just fit it in your life.

I agree about the menu mailer. I looked at the sample menus and most of it looked icky to me. We eat really simple and tend to eat the same stuff pretty often. Plus, I have learned how to cook really cheap (there are 6 of us, so we don't have a choice) and that stuff just doesn't cut it.

She has great idea but I found all the emails turned into CLUTTER themselves in my mailbox.

My MIL introduced me to the Flylady after DS was born and I felt things were getting out of control here at the house. We were deep in a bout of CHAOS.

I,too, found the number of emails per day annoying so I just unsubscribed and read all the stuff on the website. Then..I drew up a plan which is sort of Flylady but sort of not.

I don't have a big house and since I'm so busy with work and DS and everything, I have set aside M-F to clean one room or set of rooms per day.

Monday--Livingroom/Entryway
Tues--Hallway/Office
Weds--DS bedroom/bathroom
Thurs--Master bath/bedroom
Fri--Kitchen/Pantry

On Sat/Sun I do a 27 fling boogie and try to make sure everything is still neat. I do laundry when I get the chance and I'm NEVER dressed to my shoes..except on days when I have to work and wear my shoes anyway.:p

I started flylady and had the "digest" version of the e-mail sent. That way it is one e-mail and if I am really busy I just do the mission and spend 15 minutes in the zone. (I always do the morning routine and bedtime routine though!). Usually I have time for the 27 Fling and the 5 minute room rescue. My hot spots are almost non-existant! I love fly lady.

Hi, my name's Sherri and I'm a Flylady dropout. (Hi, Sherri). I too had trouble keeping up with it all. I did subscribe to the daily digest, where you get all of one day's e-mails at once, but it still didn't help me keep up.

I did enjoy the Flylady book, "Sink Reflections," and going to the website for some of the documents. I'm going to look into the Christian organizing book. I've read so many books, and my problem seems to be I spend too much time on the computer or reading, and don't get off my big behind and actually clean.
