We are arriving at MCO at 11:00 pm the night before our cruise. We want to stay somewhere close by (the Hyatt is not out of the question) that is nice but not too expensive. (Could spend up to $100.) Any suggestions??

Thanks!!

If you are AAA members you can sometimes get the Hyatt for around $99 - $129 per night. Personally, that is my favorite option as it is the most convenient; you grab your bags and head straight to the check-in, no messing with a shuttle to another hotel. :)

We got a AAA rate of 109.00 this past July.......it really is the easiest late at night.

You could try for the Amerisuites on Hotwire. Even though they don't give the name of the hotel until you commit to taking it, it is easy to tell the "suites" hotels by the amenities listed. They are usually only around $33, which includes a free shuttle and continental breakfast. You could end up somewhere nice with Priceline too (we got the Renaissance for $28 once), but you could also be somewhere kid of iffy (the LaQuinta we were in last time was very musty smelling and not near any restaurants).

I got the Hyatt for $95 last week on their website. Go to the "internet specials" button on the right hand side of their website, Hyatt.com. The regular internet rate was $129, but the special was $95. It's worth a try. The convenience can't be beat.

We fly in from the WEst Coast and our last cruise we arrived in Orlando around 10pm. We could have stayed at the Hyatt for the night, but decided to have Tiffany Towncar waiting for us to take us to the Radisson. Wasn't bad...about 40 minute drive, no traffic since late at night. We were in our room by 11pm and the next day we were already very close to the port/ship. We plan to do that way again next year. Also, the Radisson offers a breakfast for 4 for a little bit more...129.00/nite and 20.00 more for 4. They also have a free shuttle that takes you to the ship.

We stayed at the Hyatt. This to me seemed to be the least hassle. You grab your bags, and walk over. No waiting for shuttles or anything. It is also where you can catch a DCL bus in the morning, so i thought that this was really easy to do. I think we either paid $99 or $109.

How early do the cruise shuttles leave from the Hyatt?

official check in time in the lobby is 9:30 a.m. We were there about 9:15 a.m. and we were the first to sign in. Our bus left a little after 10:00 a.m., and it was the first DCL bus to get to the port...

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming by the posts that the Hyatt is located within the airport. Is that correct? I think we'll be arriving lateish, but not sure yet. Seems like an airport location might be good.

I am also arriving late and booked the car service that eve to take us to PC to stay at the Radisson ($59 rate!) free shuttle to the ship...Good luck and happy crusing!:Pinkbounc

yes, the Hyatt is located in the airport.

Try Expedia for both the Hyatt and other close-in airport hotels. They get negotiated "Special Rates" with the hotels that are the equivalent to Hotwire or Priceline, but you know what you are booking before you commit to it.
