Hi, we considered ourselves to be somewhat "seasoned airline travelers", but for some reason, we haven't flown in a year, and therefore have not encountered the tighter screening process.

What can I expect to be different when flying next week with my 9 and 10 year old? :goodvibes

The only difference I have seen is in the area of Security Screening. I don't know if your airport has the new scanners or if they aggressively pat down. Either way we prepared our daughter for the experience. In the past she just took off her shoes and walked through the metal detectors. We had to do the hands above your head in a triangle thing, but they allowed DD to walk straight through.

On the Orlando end... be prepared for the mass crush of humanity at the checkkpoint. The lines seem endless. With 9/10 years olds you will not get directed to the Family Lanes (we miss that perk). My niece and her son were sped through the Family Lane while we with our 8 year old had to trudge on.

***Try to put all you children's electronics neatly in their carry-on. If they see a mass of cables, etc. they tend to do an extra screening.
