Flying with Pins?

We fly down on Thursday. My DD is taking her pins with us to trade. Now with the new security at the Airports has anyone had a problem with taking them on the plane? She dosen't want to pack them in her luggage and wants to take them with her in her carry on.

Another thread is talking about the same thing. General consensus is pack them in carry on luggage and be ready for the bag to be searched.

I can report that we just flew from Baltimore to Rhode Island and back and carried with us on the airplane three bags full of pins! While it takes a little longer going through security because the bags need to be checked there are no additional problems taking pins with you on the airplane! Have a great trip!

We fly all the time with tons of pins too and have never had a problem.
