Hi there... I haven't flown with the kids since 2010, I just wanted to double check that all they need for identification is a birth certificate with a raised seal... I can't seem to find anything on the website with any info about this.

My kids are 12 and 13.

Thanks

Kids won't need any ID. Although we usually take their passports (because we have them and darn it, we paid a lot of money for them! :rotfl2:), but it's not necessary. My oldest has his learners driving permit and is proud to offer that as his ID. Youngest does not have anything, not even a school issued photo ID. They do look a bit closer at him these days standing at about 6 feet, he has me by at least 3 inches now and he's only 14! They usually just ask him his full name and maybe how old he is and that's it.
Enjoy your trip!

The only reason for a birth cert would be for verification of age...if having your child fly as a 'lap baby' for instance.
My dd has been flying since the age of 3...now 20. She never needed anything for ID purposes. When she had a school ID, she started carrying that...wanted to be so grown-up!!

Anyone under 18 does not need an id. As was said, lap babies need birth certificate for the airline.
