My mom and sis found a brand new double jogger at a flea market for $30. I'd love to take this on our trip, but will the airline let me take the stroller on the plane or will we have to check it with our baggage?
The cost of this stroller is less than 1/3 of what we'd pay to rent a double stroller for 7 days. I'd much rather take this than rent.

You will have to check the stroller, but most airports will let you do that at the gate so your child can stay in the stroller for as long as possible

If it is one of those models that requires you to remove the front wheel in order to fold it, you may have to carry the wheel on and stow it in the overhead bin. If that's the case, bring some kind of sack to put it in.

And depending on how crowded the parks are, you might not be able to use it at all. They may ask you to store it at the front of the park and use one of their strollers.
