Flying w/ 2 1/2 year-old- car seat needed?

What is the CARES harness?

It's a 4pt harness that slips over the back of the seat and connects to the seatbelt giving a little extra security for little ones. You can buy or rent them and they are made exclusively for plane travel.

My son was 3 when we last flew to Disney, and I am emphasizing LAST, lol, we used a car seat for him bc I knew there was no way he would sit still for a 2 hour plane ride without it. We also were renting a car so I wanted the car seat for that as well. It is not fun lugging a toddler through MCO with a stroller, a car seat, and all your luggage, We live in NJ and I would rather drive to FL than have to fly, I find it so much more less stressful. I would rather just throw everything in the back of my car, load up my kids and go. They both have ipads and we have a portable DVD player as well...We have driven to Disney twice now and even my hubby (who is pro flying) says it is definitely easier to drive, lol...anyways you just have to make sure the car seat is approved for flying and make sure they reserve a window seat on the plane for the car seat as well.
