Flying to WDW

We're hoping to go to WDW in February and considering flying. How good are the airlines in coping with multiple large pieces of medical equipment. We will have 2 wheelchairs, 2 ventilators, suction machine, oximeters and a feeding pump. All of this will need to come on board with us.

1) Plus, any added costs.
2) Chances are, these will be loaded under the plane.
. . . you check them at the gangway
. . . they are placed in the hold
. . . they are retrieved FIRST at your arrival
3) In some cases, the ventilators-etc may be inside the cabin if they might be needed en route.
4) But, things like chairs will go underneath as there is no room in the cabin.

I don't know where you are flying from - but - US Airways was really helpful & got us through with equipment as quickly & painlessly as possible. They were extremely kind through everything. They had wonderful & exceptionally kind workers!

Airlines don't charge fees for the transport of medical equipment. If only medical equipment is in any extra carry ons or checked baggage you may have, it flies free. If you stuff other things like clothes snacks etc in the bag and say it's medical equipment they may charge you.
