Living in Atlanta I have always drove to WDW. I recently flew to Orlando on a company trip and did not realize how quick you can get there by flying. Since I am not a ver experienced flyer I need some help from some of the DISboarders that fly on a regular basis.
I am looking for cheap airfare to Orlando (MCO) from Atlanta (ATL) and have search websites, but I am sure I am missing some of the really good places to search. I have tried the search places I know, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. and even the airlines themselves (Delta and Airtran).
I want to go non-stop and thought that with airlines lowering prices maybe I could convince DW to fly. It is hard to justify the flight when we can drive cheaper, unless I can find cheaper prices and use time saved to convince her. I plan to leave on Nov 14th (early) and return Nov 20 (mid morning- got to beat ATL traffic).
Everywhere I have searched it seems to be more expensive to fly south from the south. I can go to L.A. (Los Angeles not Lower Alabama) cheaper than to Florida.
Anyone have any suggestions out there on where I can search or possible travel agents that can get deals?

I think Airtran or SW flies directly from Atlanta. We fly non stop on each of these from Baltimore. Great fares and in 2 hours we are there. You might try Jet Blue too. Just go directly to their websites. HAVE FUN!!!

Scratch that. SW does not fly from Atlanta.....it flies from Birmingham AL. However Airtran does NON STOP. I looked up a week in Oct. and it was 74 down. :goodvibes

Since this is not DVC specific, I am moving it over to our Transportation Board where you will find lots of air travel information. Good luck..

Yep, sorry but as You say. ;) Seems like Delta are the way to go on this, for the moment as you need a direct flight.
Lots of departure times, at 240 total round trip.
