DH and I usually go every year in March but this year we are expecting our first child in April and figured we'd skip the trip and plan one for 2008. Well now that it's nearing spring and all these Disney commercials are on, we're feeling nostalgic for it and kind of daydreaming about going the first weekend of February for my birthday. DH would get a military discount so we could do a long weekend somewhat cheaply...but I'm concerned about being 30 weeks along...I know airlines will usually allow up to 33 wks with doctor's note but just curious if anyone has traveled to WDW at 30 wks or later? TIA!

If it's ok with your Dr and you are feeling up to it, go ahead! I've never been while pregnant, all of my pregnancies were high risk, but I've seen quite a few pregnant women at Disney that looked close to being due.

I was at Disney at one month before dd was born so I was closer to 34 weeks (and it was JULY!!) but we drove down. I was too afraid to fly- actually dh was too afraid with ds(3 at the time) and me maybe going into labor on the flight freaked him out. I was fine- just had to take lots of breaks and drank TONS of water to keep my energy up. But I was feeling pretty good at that point after being really sick all along. I did have a doctor lined up in Orlando just in case. Be prepared just in case....

We did Disney when I was 18 weeks with DS and just about 2 months along with DD.
Agree with the other posts, be sure to have things lined up in Orlando area just in case.
Both my kiddos came early, 6 weeks and 2 weeks!!!
Have a safe and happy pregnancy!!!

I am pretty sure that the cut off is 36 weeks. I flew cross country at 34 and 35+ weeks pregnant with my second dd. My midwife was fine with it, and surprisingly, no one from the airlines said a thing to me. I was so huge, and definitely looked more than 36 weeks along.

I flew at 31 weeks with no problem- no one even asked me about it. When I search for restrictions online I really couldnn't any except for one airline that "stongly suggested" not flying after 38 weeks. I have my medical records just in case because we were in Disney for 10 days. My Dr. told me there is absolutly no danger in flying during your pregancy. The cabin pressure is fine in large comercial planes. The reason airlines may have restictions is because they don't want to you to give birth on the plane. My flight was only 2 1/2 hours and I felt great. Obviously if you are high risk or having any kind of contractions you wouldn't want to, but you know your body. Have a great trip and congratulations!!!!!

I flew when I was later in my pregnancy and went ot WDW. I just made sure I brought a copy of my medical record from my doctor just in case something happened in orlando.

On our last trip my sil was around 31 weeks, and she did fine. She is used to working outstide in the heat, so I am sure that helped her. But she didn't have any problems anywhere. I think if your doctor is ok with you should be fine.

I flew at 34 weeks to Disney last year. As long as you feel comfortable and your health care provider sees no problem with it there should be no issue. I do believe the airlines prefer you not fly past 36 weeks. I took my medical records with me just in case.

We have a trip planned for May and a "mini-trip" planned for August this year (DH will be in Orlando for work, so DD and I planned on tagging along in August), but now I just found out I will be 36ish weeks along. I know I am crazy, but I am still CONSIDERING going! At that point with my DD, I felt GREAT - the first three months were miserable though. But, I know every pg is different - so we'll see - I probably wont' make a FINAL determination until the beginning of August. I'm not worried at all about the May trip (I think that will be around 25 weeks).
