Hi all,

Is it much of a effort flying into Tampa instead of Orlando, I know ill have a drive upto Disneyworld i dont really mind that, Anybody done it ??? :confused3

Cheers
Guys :thumbsup2

We did it last August, wouldn't hesitate to do it again, looking for flights for next August and I am searching both MCO & TPA, its just takes a little longer than MCO, about 60 mins instead of 30 mins.

Flew in to Tampa one time a few years back, on equal price I'd always go for MCO because it's more comforting as I know it so much better but if I found a good price I wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

It's not massively further away to drive to from, straight forward route, and is a nice airport to boot! Only small problem is BA (the only direct flight from the UK into it that I know of) only fly there every other day and sometimes I'm particular about what day I want to travel which rules it out.

But yeah, Tampa, a great alternative to MCO imo!

We are flying with BA direct from Gatwick to Tampa for the first time in 2 weeks, as it saved over £1000 for four adults than to fly direct to MCO. Quite a lot of money to save for an extra 30 minutes drive!

Yeah thought it would be about 1 hour..... Cheers

Just booked flights for August next year 2x Adult and 1x Child... Gatwick to Tampa Direct with BA, Total £1430... !! Not bad as i had been looking at £2000+ last week with most airlines... Happy Now... !! :0)

Sounds good, what dates you going?
Just checked our dates 4th-28th but they don't fly 4th so would have to go 5th, they want £ 2,613.60 for 3 of us:scared1:

Done it a bunch of times. It is an easy, and very pretty, drive. It's only about an hour away.

Slight change now on flights we managed to get, Gatwick - Orlando going out and coming back Tampa - Gatwick same dates/prices, Now my DD gets to Ride ME to DW from the Airport and pick a hire car up in DTD....... :0)
