Flying to HH-Airports other than Savannah or HH

We're flying to HHI next year, and find our options from this area to be severely limited for flying into Savannah. Where else might we fly into? Did someone once mention Jacksonville? Is that Jacksonville, FLA? How far is that? Where else?

I tried to fly into the Hilton Head Airport, but it was too expensive.
We are flying into Savannah.
I was also told to try Charleston...it's supposed to be about 100 miles away.

It has been my experience that Savannah and Charleston are about the same price.

I have flown into Jacksonville, much cheaper, plus cheaper car rentals. I think it was about a 2 hour drive.

We fly into Jacksonville on Southwest - very reasonable. It is about a 3 hour drive. Not bad at all and faster since we can fly direct.
