Ok, I am totally stressing out and I need a little help for a back up plan.

We are flying to Orange County later today. We are suppose to arrive at 8:50, but our flight is already delayed 45 minutes because of the weather in Chicago. We are renting a car, but Alamo closes at 11PM.

If our flight arrives really late, what are our options to get to the GCH?

After picking up your luggage at baggage claim, walk out he sliding doors and cross the "street" at the crosswalk. Cabs will be lined up and ready to take you to your hotel. We did this last week, and it cost us $36 plus tip. And we were at the hotel within about 20 minutes.
If you are only doing Disney on this trip I would strongly suggest just taking cabs to and from the airport and forgoing renting a car.

I completely agree with this.:thumbsup2

Cabs and taxi vans will be lined up right outside the baggage terminal (across the crosswalk) and ready to take you to your hotel. We ALWAYS take a cab if we're flying into Orange County (John Wayne) because it's the best and easiest option.

And, like BillyFan said, if you're only doing the Disney parks and staying right there in the area for your entire trip, cancel your car rental because you won't even need it.

Have a safe flight and an AWESOME time at Disneyland!!!:woohoo:

Thanks. We do need the rental car. We are driving to Las Vegas after 4 days in DL. We are also doing a "LA" day.

It's good to know there will be cabs there. Hopefully there will still be some at 11:30 at night.

Are there any car rental places close to DL? We could wait until Sunday night to pick it up then.

Yes, there's a car rental place right in Downtown Disney. It's right around the corner of the movie theatre. I've walked by it many times, but for some reason I can't remember which company it is. Let me go check and I'll post back.:thumbsup2

Okay, it's Alamo. Here's a link to a map of Downtown Disney. The Alamo office is around the corner of the big AMC theatre, which is located on the west end of Downtown Disney.

And here's a link to Alamo. The one you want is the Downtown Disney location.

Thanks. I am looking at it right now. The one-way rentals are a little pricey, but we will see what happens. I just hope we can make it there in time tonight.

Maybe if you explain to them why you weren't able to pick up your original rental car they will help with a lower rate. Worth a shot! Either way, have fun!! And maybe we will see you at the parks, we leave in about 3 hours!! YAY!

Thanks. I hope we can make it. We are leaving in 20 minutes for the airport. They told me Alamo would hold for us a little if we were late.
