Flying Tires tips?

In my experience, the heavier your tire is, the less easy it is to control. I really recommend 1 adult per tire, or 1 adult and 1 child (if that's possible), but not two adults because you won't be able to get up much speed. Sit in the middle of the bench and try to lean gently, not all the way. Most importantly don't let yourself get stuck in a corner. Luigi's is great if you can figure out the best way to ride it :).

Maybe I was doing something wrong. I just did not enjoy it very much. It was okay, definitely wouldn't have been worth it if I'd had to wait more than 20 minutes.

First let me say I absolutely love this rude despite it's load/unload problems. The best tip I got was when I went solo. I was told to sit center. Make sure I was sitting all the way back. When the ride starts, just gently lean towards what way the tire starts moving. I got a ton of speed going. It's a really fun ride and I personally have no problem waiting for it.

In all honesty the best tip seems to be don't waste your time.:rotfl2:

Some people love it! Plenty stand in long lines and seem to enjoy it. It's just not my thing. I'd say ride it and judge for yourself!

  • If you can go solo on the ride.
  • Pick a tire away from everyone else if you can when first boarding.
  • Don't lean too hard it only takes a little effort to start moving in a particular direction.

I had a great time, but I was pretty good at the Flying Saucers. Oops, just gave away my age. In any case the best fun is to get a tire that at the start isn't already jammed between other tires. That way you have some room to get up some speed as you ram other tires. The beach balls add another dimension, but I didn't really try to do anything with them other than to toss them to someone else if they came my way.

Having said all that, I wouldn't wait more than 20 to 30 minutes, which means that the line better be really short. I think I timed a single cycle at about 10 minutes, of which the ride part is probably about 2 or 3 minutes. Don't flame me, but if the handicapped tire is used the cycle time is probably 15 minutes. The ride probably has one of the lowest capacities in the park.

That's good info about not moving too "big". Wish the CM "training" us had said that! Instead, he was doing BIG body movements, which made me think you had to really lean!

There were frustrating parts of the ride, but then we'd hit this sweet spot towards the middle and just fly! That made it worth it. :)
