i know this is probably a stupid question! We haven't been since 2013 and have always used Magical Express and the luggage delivery service with the yellow tags. I saw posts from British travellers that said that they have to pick up their luggage and was wondering if there was a change. We have previously flown through Toronto, and we went through security a second time in Toronto in the past. Can someone who flies through Montreal tell me what the process is? Can we have the luggage delivered to the room? I picked my flights to make sure we arrived before 10 to get this perk. Thanks!

And I'm know I'm crazy to be asking this five months ahead!! LOL

We fly thru Pearson meaning no first-hand knowledge of Montreal BUT since you will pre-clear US customs in Canada you can use the luggage tags. Travellers from the UK need to go thru customs in Orlando which means collecting their bags themselves before getting to the bus.

SO YES, same process as the last time you went, have a great trip!

Most of the time, clearing or reclearing U.S. customs in Orlando works the same as clearing or preclearing customs in Montreal or any other city.

You can use the yellow Magical Express tags and have your bags automagically delivered to your resort in the same fashion as a U.S. traveller. e.g. when your flight arrives before 10 PM.

You claim your bags in the customs station, go through the customs procedure, and put the bags on the other conveyor belt or give them to an agent near the exit and not have to carry the bags any further.

When you go through this funny procedure, er, standard operating procedure, whether in Orlando or Montreal or wherever, bags without yellow tags will dutifully go to the Orlando carousels.

Unfortunately there have been idiosyncrasies once in a blue moon at the Orlando customs station e.g. travelers were forbidden to carry their bags manually out of the customs station.
