Nervous to pull the trigger and press "buy" on the airline tickets! Like it's the point of no retur ;-)

We are going May 2-7.

It was no big deal when driving last year, we had flexibility that way and if plans changed a bit no fees etc.

But I'm nervous to press "buy" and then have something change but yet $220 is a good round trip fare from here so I really shouldn't wait.

If you book with Southwest, you can change your flights online without any fees for up to a year. I don't know where in the Pac NW you are, but for reference I was able to get RT to LAX for ~$189 incl. taxes from PDX. $220 sounds reasonable.

Wow you did get a very nice rate, way to go!

I have enough miles on Alaska to get one free ticket PDX-SNA...so I'm only paying for one ticket, compared to switching to another carrier where I'd be paying for two ;-) I just hate knowing I'd be out the money upfront instead of being refunded but oh well such is the world of travel...

I know what you mean. Free is pretty hard to pass up.

Zbugz...may I ask, what area of Oregon are you in? We are in the Willamette Valley

Roughly north of Beaverton.

I realized I miscalculated my airfare. Math before coffee is a bad idea. :rotfl: It was $169 RT. They had a killer sale last month. I originally had it for ~$225 but was able to exchange my tickets for the lower rate and still had enough leftover for a one-way ticket to San Diego in January. I need my sunshine breaks in the winter. ;)

I hope you have a fantastic trip.

I know that feeling. We usually drive, but I saw a sale on jet blue (Thank you DIS!!) for $110 roundtrip each from portland to longbeach for our dates on our last trip. It was way to good to pass up. Honestly, I was nervous for nothing, we really didn't miss our car at all. We just adjusted a little, I ordered groceries and had them delivered, and I told the kids not to put so many stuff animals in their luggage. Even with the cab to and from the airport, and the park n fly hotel, we saved about $300 total by flying instead of driving.

Oooo, excellent price.

I can relate on the stuffed animals. One year my daughter had 5 or 6 in her carry on, along with two blankets. When I suggested that several items had to go, you'd think her bff had just died.

Check the credit card that you're using to pay for the tickets. Mine had trip insurance, so that eased my "what if" fears. I would have (luckily, didn't need to) been able to change the flight without any additional cost to me.

My friend has found us round trip tickets from Jet Blue out of Seatac to Long Beach for $184. plus one bag.!! this is a midweek flight.. in April 13..

We are also from the Pacific Northwest & have driven several times. We just booked flights with JetBlue & are flying for the first time. It made me a little nervous, but it will be so nice to be there so quickly! :)

There is something magical about being there in one morning rather than two days. I think you'll really like it.

Oh, I'm sure we will! It's a trade off. When driving, we can bring everything but the kitchen sink! lol I think it'll be worth it though. As long as I don't stress about getting to & from the airports & park, it'll be ok.

Flying is the way to go! We are from NY and definitely prefer flying to driving. It is nice to be able to get settled in and go right to the parks. Make sure that you take advantage of Disney's Magical Express if you are flying in to MCO. It is wonderful! Good luck and have fun!
