I have noticed something about our neighbors that I thought was a little strange, so I thought I would check to see if it was a regional thing or something.
I live in a fairly new development in southeastern PA. Our neighbors moved in a few months ago. The moved from St. Louis, MO (job transfer) but the husband is originally from South Carolina.
Anyway, I noticed they had a garden flag out that I had no idea what it was. Then I saw the same thing on their license plate and also on a window decal in their car. My DH said he also noticed the guy wearing a t-shirt with that on when he was mowing the grass. I googled the design and found out it is the state flag of South Carolina, which makes sense since he is from there.
So, my question is if this is a usual practice around the country? I would never consider flying the PA flag if I moved out of state. Most of the people here don't fly it. It is mainly flown with the US flag at businesses and schools and stuff, but not by private citizens. It just seemed unusual, but then again maybe it is just a regional thing?
