Hi All ~ I'm guessing SW doesn't feed you or have TV's on the airplane? Can we bring portable DVD players and a laptop that plays DVD's? Can we bring food on the plane? Maybe a sub purchased before entering the airport? What about drinks? I'll need water and a coffee on the plane! Blessings, Sandra

We're also flying SW in March from Buffalo. There are no meals on my flight but if it's the same as other carriers, they'll privide snacks and a beverage. As for TVs, it will depend on the plane but on our last flight in Oct, DVDs and laptops were allowed after takeoff and before landing. With the new security procedures, you can only take food and beverages that are purchased in the secure area of the departure lounge. Hope this helps. :)

Just flew SW from Buf to WDW and back. There are no TVs. You may use a dvd player/laptop between take-off and landing. Free soft-drinks/water along with a small pack of crackers and peanuts (peanuts only if there are no reported peanut allergies for the entire plane...I don't understand why SW still serves peanuts...they handed them out on our return flight and then had to collect them all as a little girl had a peanut allergy including peanut dust) are provided. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased on the flight. Only food/drinks purchased after the security check can be carried onto the plane.

Do you know what food services are available after security check-in? Thanks! Sandra

If you go to www.buffaloairport.com you can check out the restaurants/food services. It usually says which ones are pre or post security. There is a little bit of everything after security. Across from the SW gate we flew out of there were two counter services with a sit down area with one offering hotdogs, chicken fingers, burgers etc... and the other offering both grab 'n' go sandwiches and make while you wait sandwiches. I'll warn you that it's pretty expensive. More so than Pearson airport. Our two sandwiches (bread, lettuce, decent amount of cold meat) along with to small fountain drinks were $19US. With that cost it made me think we were already in WDW :lmao:

If you are driving to Buffalo then flying to Orlando, do us Canadians still need a passport with SW?

Nope....not for another year. That is the reason we decided to fly SW thru BUF this time. We will get passports eventually. S

At this time you do not need a passport to cross the border. If you check-in at the SW counter or give them your lugguge after having checked-in online they will need to see a photo ID (your license will do). Security will also need to see your gov't photo ID and boarding pass. At the SW gate when boarding they will only need to see your boarding pass. IMHO it is still better in this day and age to travel with a passport.
