Well I think I am going to take the plunge and go to Disney solo in July. It is a scary but exciting thought. I will be looking for tips and discounts in the comming months.

Have you been solo before? I debated last year about going solo and then I ended up going at the same time as my sister & her family. I ended up spending about 50% of the time solo and I had a great time! I had such a good time that I am going back in May for a fully solo trip.

Have an awesome time on your trip!

No,

I have no gone alone yet. I went to a water parks by myself one day but that was it! I did have fun. Have you dined alone yet. That seems a little strange to me but i think I can do it.

Yes I have dined alone. I dined alone only 3 times (TS places) on my October trip, but I have 5 solo ADRs for my May trip and I will probably eat at a few more TS places while I am there. I usually people watched while dining, but for this next trip, I will probably carry a book with me in case I want to read while eating.

I really enjoyed going solo! I couldn't believe how much freedom I had and I was able to do so much more without feeling rushed. I also took one of the tours (Segway) solo and I am doing Keys to the Kingdom in May.

FAIR WARNING!!!! once you go solo you won't be able to stop. i finally took the plunge and went. (check out my solo trip report below). i had alot of fun. it was scary at times as i am very shy but i had a great time. i took the keys to the kingdom tour which help me come out of my shell a little bit and talk it up with other people. i did some times feel like i avoided eating at places where i thought i would get stares. not so...believe me, people don't care as much as we think they do. at disney i only did counter service places but finally did table service places at my solo universal trip.

as for disney, the only drawback was after a few days, i was getting lonely for company and felt like i would die if i didn't talk to someone soon. but it worked out in the end. i did what i wanted to when i wanted to. that is the biggest plus. the only time that i felt a little sad (missing my family) was at the parade and wishes fireworks. made me a little teary but now that i think about it...it always makes me teary. go..........you will have a great time!

In response to Dining alone. I did it for 7 days strait in December 06. It was great, didn't have to worry about waiting either. I took my PAL MICKEY with me every where, got him wine, got a lil plate and put some food on it for him and set him up on the table. Everyone thought I was a lil wierd. But hey I was lonely. I am going again from July 13th to the 17th 07. I'll do it again. Naturally I ate and drank the food I put out for him.
