Looking at my dates for February, I see that I can fly significantly cheaper out of Worcester, MA than I can out of Boston MA or Manchester NH. It's over $100 cheaper per person and the difference in car service is only $45 so almost $400 in savings. Worcester only looks like it'll be an extra half hour max driving time from our house compared to Logan. I like the sound of all that.
So you're probably wondering why I'm questioning this. Well, there's only 1 flight per day each way between Worcester and MCO. What happens if there's a problem with the flight? I was never willing to book Direct Air and now still won't book Allegiant for this reason. But, this is JetBlue out of Worcester which is very different than Allegiant. If there's a problem, would we have the same kind of concern that we would with Direct Air or Allergiant? They're a huge airline with a large fleet of planes so they should have no problem getting a replacement plane in if there's mechanical problems, right? Flying into Boston where there are plenty of flights I know there are always other flights they can get people on if there are weather or mechanical problems but this is the only flight between MCO and Worcester that day so I'm just not sure what to think.
Am I over thinking this? Do I have any reason for concern about this being the only flight of the day?
