Hi, we are flying out of Niagara Falls for the first time on Boxing Day at 1030 AM. Any idea how early we should arrive at the Airport? It looks like a small airport. Also what bridge would people recommend? Thanks

I would suggest that you still do the 2 hours before flight time, if not a little more. Yes, the airport is very small (and parking is very easy) but you often find that the person who is at the check in counter is the same person who is the gate agent. Therefore things move slowly.

The closest bridge to that airport is Queenston/Lewiston. That bridge is often very busy after 8am on holidays and weekends. The next closest is the Rainbow. I would plan to be crossing at Queenston prior to 8am.

And make sure you go to the right airport. One little programming error on your GPS and you could end up at the wrong one. If flying Alegiant or Spirit, then the airport in Niagara Falls. Anyone else you want Buffalo-Niagara International (including SW and JB). End up and the wrong one and you are in all kinds of problems.

We are flying Allegiant, have flown out of Buffalo before. Just not familiar with the Niagara Falls area.

Thanks for the tip, I hope to cross before 8 AM

Hi just got back from our trip, crossed at Queenston just after 8am on Boxing Day no delay at the bridge. Arrived at the airport at 830 am which was 2 hrs before our flight. Slight delay in parking car as the two lots onsite were full, was directed to lot 3 which is down the road a bit. Free shuttle back to airport, shuttle does not leave until full so we had to wait a little longer. Checkin at Allegiant was quick. Security lines were short but hit a snag when our boarding passes would not scan, the Agent directed us back to checkin to have Allegiant print off 2 new passes. She said we could come back to the front of the line, I told her we would just line up again and not butt in line, she replied "you Canadians are so polite!" Went back to Allegiant which was not busy and received new passes. They told us sometimes your home printer does not print good enough. Back to security was still not too busy. No problems this time. They have a small café post security not much else. Flight left 10 minutes early! Sanford airport is small as well and was easy to get luggage and rental car. Had great weather!
