Oh my goodness I just realized that our next Trip is 1 year from this Saturday :Pinkbounc :cool1: time to start thinking about it!!

a few questions......
What airline should i be looking at for the best prices? We want to fly out of Buffalo this time b/c the prices are so much better looking then from Canada!

If we stay in a hotel by the airport is 1 night enough for them to keep our car parked there for 2 weeks or do we have to do 2 nights? OR is it better to just pay for airport parking and approx how much to budget for that?

Fav places to dine/shows to see? Any that are must do's? LAst time we did WCC, O'hana's, the dino character brekie (wasn't impressed) and the princess brekie at Epcot and for sure we are doing the halloween party again (am making the Prince philip costume for this halloween for my Sleeping Beauty nut to do for next too!!lol). We are taking my IL's and our boys with us (12yrs old and 6.5yo) It will be the IL's first time there and we want to make sure it's a great trip for them. We will be staying at SS 1 week (sun to thurs) a moderate for the weekend and WLV for the 2nd Sun to thurs.

Can't wait!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

I like Southwest out of Buffalo.

The Holiday inn express would keep our car for up to 2 weeks on one nights stay. If you are thinking airport parking lot budget about $90 for the 2 weeks.

My favorite place to eat is Chef Mickey's.

We're fllying with Jet Blue out of Buffalo. Our first time with Jet Blue, but they have a great reputation and we paid only $571 CAD for three of us, return, to Orlando.

Southwest has great fares out of Buffalo. In August we paid $115 RT and in Nov. it's $120 RT. They have Ding fares that you can check too.

We paid $620 Cdn for 5 of us with a Ding fare.

How do you sign up to receive ding fares? On their site it asks for your zip code to register? :confused3 Have ding fares for January been released yet? Thanks, Jen

We used a zip code from the states to sign up for Ding. I haven't seen to many Ding fares that have included Jan. yet.

We're flying AirTran from Buffalo the first week of November. Never flown out of BUF before so it will be interesting. Cost us just under $1000CDN for 5 fares BUT there is a short layover (1 hour) in Atlanta on both trips.

As you will be going in the fall (you said 1 year away) I wouldn't be too concerned about the weather in Buffalo. I'm not sure I"d fly out of there in January or February. With all the lake effect snow they get I'd hate (1) not to be able to get to the airport or (2) be delayed outbound for 6-10 hours or worse when it is a one week trip, but that has as much to do with trying to keep 3 DK's occuppied at an airport.

I'll report back when we return in mid November

And one more Q..... where is the best place to go look for these great fares?

I'm going to try and download DING but where to look for the other airlines?

We're flying with SWA in December for $388 (US) total for four of us, non-stop return flight. It was a great DING fare. We are also staying at Holiday Inn Express the night before and leaving our car there for one week. They offer a free shuttle service to the airpot, as well as a free breakfast before you fly out. You can't beat that!!

Happy planning.

Southwest has great deals out of Buffalo, we leave in 36 hours! If you want inexpensive airport parking try Sunpark. They are directly across from the airport and have a coupon on their website. Very inexpensive for the week. $32.75 for 7 days. Which may be cheaper than your hotel stay. We have also parked at the Preferred longterm parking at the airport which is also very reasonable and so close to the terminal.

I would be interested in hearing about your experience with Air Tran once you return ... we are flying with them 12/03 to Orland with a 1 hr stop over in Atlanta ... a little worried with two little kids

thank you

I've flown Air Tran a few times as well and always had a good experience. In Atlanta all the Air Tran gates are near one another so you won't have to go far with your little ones.

Thanks, with a 2 1/2 DS & a 5 1/2 DD and a Cranky DH I was worried about that 1hr lay over !! now I'm just hopping for good weather.

Ditto on the Holiday Inn and Southwest... Our last flights out of Buffalo were only 39. + taxes each way direct to Orlando..

In Dec. 2004 I paid $ 29.00 + txs each way direct outof buffalo to orlando

Last year we went out of Buffalo on SW. We stayed at the Quality for one night and they kept the truck for two weeks. They had a nice continental brekkie and free shuttle. I think that we paid $89 USD.
Our flight was $555 USD to Tampa for 4 of us return.
Ding is now booking until Feb. 3. We've been keeping a close eye, leaving March 5. Today it is $49 to Orlando from Buffalo.
Here's hoping we all get great airfares. Good Luck. :rotfl:

We called SW and asked what to do, it was their suggestion to use the airport zip.

we just booked on the ding deal paid $204.00 for the both of us !!it was $1,oo3.00 out of yyz(toronto)

We flew out of Buffalo last week to MCO ($137 CAD per person, inc taxes !!! on Delta). I picked Delta as they are one of the airlines that Disney offers resort check in, when leaving MCO.
