Flying out of Buffalo

We're flying out of BUF on the 23rd with a scheduled departure of 7:45AM. Not a Disney trip this time - that's later this summer. This is much earlier than we normally depart and I'm not sure how much time to allow for us to get through security. I know we have to be at the SW gate no later than 6:45 but how much time should I reasonably allow for check-in and security? On the plus side, we won't be travelling with any kids. I'm thinking that we should be at the curb by 6:15. Any thoughts?

We flew from BUF Feb 23-Mar 3 and the security line was very short. It was a Friday night @ 530pm but we were thru it in about 10 minutes.

I would allow 20 minutes to be safe but if you are at the airport by 615am you should have plenty of time.

My flights have always been morning flights and it has taken about 20-25 max to get thur the security line. In total about 35-40 mins to start at curb side to the gate. The check-in counters do not open until 6am I believe so there is always a line waiting to check bags and stuff. If you can do your check-in online that should help. You are leaving on a Friday so I am not sure if that may make a difference seeing it is a weekend. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your comments. By the sound of it, check-in will take about the same amount of time as an afternoon flight.

I don't think the opening time for check in of 6 am is correct as I have a 6:20 AM flight coming up.

Because we are ususally Pearson travellers, we are use to being there 3-4hrs in advance. When we got Buffalo Airport, they were shocked that we we got there 3 1/2hr early!

Our party and another party was the only ones there until about 1 1/2 hr and most showed up close to the 1hr point.

So, i say 1 1/2 hr is the most you need to be there.

I have checked in at curbside at 5 am. I don't lnow how early the counter opens.
