flying on Halloween

I have never been up north this time of year so I was not sure how early it started to snow but my mom said that even you guys don't see snow till mid November till early December she ought to know she used to travel a lot for for work

Btw I did try google all it would do is tell me about Google

Well there was that little storm on Halloween 2011. Here in northern CT we were without power for a week. But that was the freakiest of freak storms. Don't really understand why you would be concerned about a snow storm

People from the northeast and other areas that have harsh winters fly all winter long - yes flights get delayed but most times not for long. One day isn't going to make a difference and FWIW November isn't even winter yet. Make your plans and then if there are calls for weather have a backup plan in place. It seems like you are flying TO see your father in which case couldn't you stay an extra day if a flight was delayed for any reason? Much different than being stuck in an airport or hotel. I am having a hard time accepting the fact that you can post on message boards, book flights but not use google or weather apps?

Of course but I don't understand why you would worry about snow the end of October. The chances are soooo slim.

Well plans can get delayed due to snow correct?
Sure, of course they do! But, you could get a freak storm on the 31st!!! This is just nothing you need to worry about. If, and that's a really big if, there were to be a storm, and a subsequent delay, you would know about it early on. Then, you would be able to get your flight changed, usually free of charge, to another day. And since you're staying with family, it shouldn't be an issue if you have to stay an addtl night, or even leave a day early if you had to make a change.

Yes, there could be a snowstorm. Are the chances good? Nope.....not even remotely.

We live in western Canada and often fly to WDW in November or April. Even out here we have had only occasional snowy/icy drives to the airport but once there it's never an issue. Snow belt airport crews know how to keep things moving even in what many would consider blizzards. Very seldom do the airports totally shut down due to snow. Occasionally a runway is closed for a few minutes for snow clearing but I've found the only real delay is if de-icing of the plane is necessary and if it's snowing out it will be de-iced.
