Flying JetBlue - Questions

Okay, sorry for starting so many question threads, but I want to be totally prepared for this trip so that I can totally relax when I finally leave!

So I've never flown Jet Blue before. Our flight leaves at 8:40. How early should I be to the airport?

Also, we purchased our tickets online, and it says something about needing to reconfirm our flight at least 24 hours prior to departure time--can someone explain this? Is this something we actually need to do, and if so, how do we do that?

I think your from UT if so you'll be flying out of SLC and into Long Beach ~ are you wondering how early you should arrive at SLC for your departure flight or how early you should arrive at Long Beach for your return flight? I buy tix online and don't remember reconfirming 24 hrs in advance, but why not do it if they tell you to?

I think it really depends on the day you're flying, some days are busier than others. In April we flew out on a Sun. morning, flight left at 6am ~ we got there 5ish am and were fine.

Okay, thanks. I think we're going to leave at 6:30, so we'll get into the airport a little before 7:00. That should be an adequate amount of time, I think.

640 am is way too early I would be there by 7:50 am even 8 am is fine. Check your bags in and off you go the long walk to jet blue jet.

How are you doing parking I park at park in jet and then they drop me off to the jetblue terminal I like it better then parking at the airport.

We're actually getting a ride from my friend's dad, so we won't have to worry about parking.

yeah just have him drop you off at the terminal for jet blue.

When you get to long beach are you renting a car or what ?

One of the people I'm going with has family in L.A., and they are kind enough to be giving us a ride to and from LGB. It pays to have someone with connections in the group!

lol you have it all figured out just get to the airport by 8 am and you will be fine

We are also from Utah and we like to get to the airport at least one hour early. By the time we check in, go through security, potty break and grab a snack, it is time to board. Have a great trip!!
