Has there been any problems having your interactive wand in and/ or carry on? Worried about it being regarded as a weapon. Is one way better than the other?

We've brought them home before, in their box, in our carryons without an issue. I never even gave it a second thought, actually.

My DD carried a Universal plastic bag with two wands in the boxes (and her robe). This was her carry-on and no one said anything to her.

I left mine in the box and had no issues with it in my carry on. I actually wondered the same thing and it's a common question. I even found mention of it on a tsa website even.

It's totally fine. Just like with lightsabers, TSA is smart enough to know that they aren't real weapons.
