Hi All! Anyone fly from Bos or Manchester NH recently? I am curious what rates/deals you may have gotton. We are flying in september and have not booked airfare yet. 3 years ago..last time we went...we used southwest and the tickets were 59 each way...it was a last minute deal..aren't seeing any flight close to that right now. We have 6 people flying...7 if we get a seat for the baby. At these rates i think we may have to drive!!!!!

I haven't even seen Ding fares for $59 from MHT to MCO in over a year. $200/person is usually typical fare from Manchester, although if you're lucky you can catch something somewhat better. I think the lowest my tickets got for my flights in May were $79 each way.

I'm flying for Bangor ME and we paid $250 roundtrip that's with a stop in JFK. We booked through Expedia and are flying Delta. If we flew from New Brunswick Canada it would have cost us $900 EACH. I'll take a 2 hr drive across the border thank you very much....

Yeah, those $59 flights were nice. Haven't seen them in a while. Lately, I've been very happy to get $99 flights out of BDL, and often have to pay a bit more.

Cheapest DING I have seen is $90 plus taxes each way, but haven't seen one in a while. Last cheap one I saw (under 60) was spring '08.

Basically the cheapest non-stop I have seen is $204 round trip Delta, but on Delta you pay for each bag.

We are paying almost double this year flying in Sept from MHT on SWA than what we usually pay for this time of year. If you don't mind stopping or leaving for MCO later in the day and returning to MHT early in the morning the prices are less expensive.

I'm actually flying out of Worcester Airport in September. They have VERY LIMITED flights but I was able to get $136 RT. This was a few weeks ago and I'm not sure that promo is still going.

Can I ask what your dates are? Depending on dates JETBLUE is having a "SALE" and RTNS sat- sat-(12-19th) was $169.20/pp which included all airport fees and taxes - but you wouldn't arrive in MCO until 7:08pm - but if you traveled the wednesday prior to and came back on the following WED it would be the same price pp rt non stop BUT you could arrive by 12:30pm and could leave MCO either at 10:25am - 3:10 pm or 7:54pm - not the deals of yesteryears but not bad either for nonstop rt flights.

PS

you need to book by AUG 5th and nust travel btwn Sept 8yh-Dec 16th 2009

Anytime I can fly from either Logan or TFGreen for $200 or less, I'm thrilled. But I'm happy with $250 and under. I was able to book my flights to MCO, from Logan on JB, for $104 each way, pp....but that includes all fees and taxes. Very happy about that, especially if the times are right, which they were.

I did fly out of Worcester once..on PanAm. It was very nice. Unfortunately, DirectAir doesn't have a lot of flight choice...maybe three a week, one each day. Same thing coming back from Orlando. Then, you have to rent a car or hire a car service to get you to WDW, which can eat up any savings you get. Add to that the issue of having to find a replacement flight if sometimes happens to your flight. If you flight were to be cancelled, you don't have a lot of choices as to alternatives. But it sure is convenient.

We are flying Labor Day weekend- sept 3-8 on Jetblue for $94 each way. They are direct flights. I'm happy with that.

We booked our flights for the end of August (20th - 29th) the day they opened up the fare (April I think). We are flying SW from MHT, non-stop to Orlando and non-stop back. We got prices of $238 RT per person. Since then, the fare has only reduced a bit. I saved $16 on DH ticket (only 1 seat left when the price reduced) and $12 on my ticket (again, only 1 seat left). So for DH ticket - $222, Mine - $226 and DD stayed at $238. I'm not on my computer every day, but the days I've been on and seen Dings, non of them have been for MCO. I'm still holding out hope, 2 years ago, I got a Ding 2 weeks prior to my flight for like $89 each way. I've seen fares in August for $79 each way currently through SW (not our flights) but they are there. Good luck getting a good fare. :goodvibes

SW has been what I consider high for them out of MHT recently, but it is probably what the fares should have been all along. I have not really seen any "deals" from them lately. We have had good luck with JB out of Logan and as a pp mentioned there is a sale. Got it in my inbox the other day. Good luck.

I am flying from Boston the day after Labor Day on Jet Blue.

They are showing $74.00 out and $94.00 on the return.
Which BTW is not what I paid originally, so I now have a credit of $180. :)

Keep checking Southwest and Jet Blue, they will have the best prices.

Good Luck!

I thought it was good that I got a $59.00 airfare from BWI to MCO. I would think coming from NE, $99.00 would be very reasonable.....

We're at $304 RT 11/26-12/5, but we are going MHT to TPA and then MCO to MHT return because we're spending Thanksgiving elsewhere in FL with family first. Am assuming we can get them down somewhat using dings but given that deals are scarce these days I'll be thrilled to get it to $250 RT pp.

Jetblue may be a little cheaper but MHT is more convenient and far less hassle -- as with most things in life, save money or save time - pick one.

Thanks for all the info! Our Disney stay is W9/9-TH9/24. I do prefur to go out of manchester for the convieience and as i mentioned before we typically have atleast one checked bag per person or more since we will have an infant. I think I will check the cost of driving but if we do that packing would again become an issue and I don't want to arrive at disney already exhausted!!! if i see that $79 on the flights I want i think i will likely book that..dh does not want to drive....i just want to have a couple $$$ left in the budget to maybe get a souvineer or two...not likely at this point!!!

got what I consider great fares. Delta on the way down, with all fees including baggage fee, $174.20 for 2 and SWA back $179.20 again for 2 with all fees for a total of $353.40. We leave Sat 9/26 @ 8:30AM (originally 6:50 but what are you gonna do!) and return Wed 9/30 leaving MCO @ 5:15.

This trip hinged on finding flights for no more than $400 so I was VERY happy & the times are well within what I was looking for.

I love flying SWA out of Manchester. I love the airport, I love the airline in general (free bags, never had any flight changes, I can make changes if needed, etc), I love that I can fly direct and I also love that I live around 20 minutes away so it's really convenient.

I just checked your dates and SWA has a whole bunch of $79 flights available. If you want nonstop for your return flight you'll have to either fly first thing in the morning or pay a $110. Personally I choose the higher price later in the day (that's what I did for my December trip; I could have saved a bit of money on the early flight but the later flight was worth the difference to me) but that's just what I would do.

I have 2 flights i'm watching...i do prefur the earliest in and latest out! Maybe I'll go peak again myself and see what they are at!

I booked Airtran out of Portland ME at $74/each way. That was the least expensive I've found recently (and my niece that's going lives in ME so I'd have to pick her up anyway).
