I plan to go to WDW this Xmas. I have been checking westjet and expedia everyday for flights since June, 09 and can not find out any cheaper flights.

Anyone flying from Calgary? How much do you pay for flights?

It's usally about $500 including taxes. Right now with Westjet you could fly Dec 10-17 for $310.36. That's $99 each way!! That is super cheap!

We are flying out Oct 31 and returning Nov 20 and we paid $400 each including taxes and fees...that is with Continnential.

We are flying Calgary to Orlando with Continental in November for $333 each (plus taxes, etc.). This past spring we flew to Tampa for $275 (plus taxes) each with Continental.

Dec 10-17. $310.36/person. Great deal. Thanks for the reply.

The next step is to look for hotel deals and tickets deal.

Yeah I'm glad you were able to book :cool1: I wish I could go :sad2: I tried all day to convince DH but it didn't work :snooty: Hope you have a great vacation!!

We are flying from Calgary on the direct Westjet flight and it cost us $528 per person (this was $199 each direction).

this is what we did for Spring Break- that direct flight but $$$$$$$$$

I'm not complaining as the last few times we have flown free on points, but it sure would be nice to fly direct Calgary to Orlando ....

Westjet's direct flight is awesome, can't imagine not taking it from now on.

Just so much more convenient and less stressful.

We got a good deal on Continental. WJ does fly direct however:thumbsup2 Avoid United like the plague:lmao:

We are flying down November 10th, Westjet from Edmonton to Calgary and then the non-stop to Orlando. Return flight is Orlando-Toronto-Edmonton. It is costing about $2400 for the 4 of us, but totally worth it for the YYC-MCO non-stop and early arrival.

I've flown United quite a lot and haven't had any trouble with them yet. Just don't take your guitar:

For the record, the only airline to ever lose my luggage in over 30 years of frequent flying was WestJet. You just never know.:confused3

If it takes leaving my guitar at home to guarantee a hassle free journey I'm in :wizard:

AC is my problem airline, only airline to lose my luggage, miss connections, cancel flights, have stuff stolen out of my luggage (they claimed it was the customs people).

As my wife is nervous about flying I usually start watching the seat sales on direct flights on West Jet about 4 months prior to a planned trip. The good seat sales tend to go quickly so you have to watch closely. We are flying return direct flights from Calgary on Dec1, Return Dec 13, $820 for both of us which I thought was a great deal, but like I say, you have to grab the good ones early. To get direct flights. We have taken AC twice. Never again, even if I have to pay more. Both times, their flights were 2 hour late leaving Calgary and up to 8 hours late leaving Orlando.

Wow! Some of you have gotten great fares. I drive down to Seattle to fly, it seems to be much cheaper than from Vancouver. I have been getting fares of around $250 RT USD includes taxes on average. But if I could get a $300 RT from Vancouver, I'd be all over that!
