We will be sailing on the Magic 11/27-12/04/04 (week after Thanksgiving, Saturday-Saturday). We are planning on driving unless we get a great deal. When we flew to MCO from BWI in November '02 we paid a little under $800 total for the four of us. The airports of choice for us are BWI, MDT (Harrisburg, PA) or PHILLY.

We could leave Thanksgiving day or Black Friday and return the first Saturday (or Sunday if need be) in December.

DH and I thought that if we could all four fly for $600 or less it would be worth it. How difficult will this be for us? We're right before the 330 day mark so it's hard to get a feel for prices.

difficult but not impossible. unfortunately, the best deals with airfare are not always announced and you sort of have to catch them when they appear as there are usually limited seats with the deal. i fly out of philly and am waiting for discounts on usairways. southwest will be releasing their may schedule for philly soon and hopefully this will drive prices down for other airlines as well. keep an eye on it. i have my favorite cities saved in personal preferences on travel sites like www.travelocity.com and check it throughout the day for updates then if a deal pops up, go directly to the airline itself and book.

i flew to orlando from philly this past august for $159 roundtrip per person which included taxes and fees! when i had to buy an additional ticket 3 weeks later, it was $184. also, you may not be able to see anything yet since your trip is so far away as many airlines do not have schedules out that far!

bottom line, keep checking. check all travel sites and individual airline sites for each city you are thinking about. GOOD LUCK!!!

I usually don't fly anyone but SOuthwest out of BWI because they have so many direct flights and usually the cheapest fare. we are going in Feb with a $149.00 with all taxes RT but we go those soon after they released the schedule. So if you have the wait and see if we can get a good price attitude you might very well be able to get Southwest when they release the schedule for november which probably won't be until September though!!

Good luck! You can also try flying to Jacksonville as the Cape is only two hours from there and you can probably get a towncar to go there.

Don't forget that as of May 9 Southwest will be flying to MCO out of Philadelphia too. Rates and schedules aren't yet available, but should be out in the next week or two. The only unnerving thing about Southwest out of PHL or BWI is that reservations for next Thanksgiving probably won't be available until June or July. If you can stand to wait until then, however, it might be worth it.

Allentown is a little further for you, but you might want to check Southeast Airlines ( www.flyseal.com ). They often have $59 each way tix. They have non-stops from Allentown to Sanford. Sister in-law's family flew Southeast this summer and returned with good reviews.
