Flying from Buffalo and Duty Free

Since we are flying out from Buffalo, is the "standard plan" to hit the Duty Free store as you cross the border? If so, then would the booze that you pick up have to go into your checked baggage? I don't think you can take it as carry on.
If it is is checked baggage, what do you usually pack it in so it makes it in 1 piece?

I've done this before. Just make sure it's buried amongst your clothes. That's the best you can do. I've never had a problem though.

Yes it has to go in your checked baggage if you buy it at the border.

We never buy booze on the way to the airport in Buffalo.We always buy on the way home at the border.....or just pack up the bottles really well in the middle of your suitcase.......we've packed plenty of glass type stuff in our cases without any problems.

If you work in an office, and they use HP printer cartridges for their printers, some of them come in a "bubble" type package that if you are carefull opening, will keep the air in the tube part and you can slip your bottle inside but also put it inside a bag and wrap a towel around it and place it inside the very middle of your suitcase!

Excellent idea about the bubble wrap, hopefully I can resist popping it all before I wrap the bottle in it! LOL. Anyone in Disney the last few weeks of October, I'll be the one walking around popping bubble wrap!
