No problem. Just give me the heads up so I know when to expect a phone call.
What a nice surprise for the boys and you! You might actually feel like doing something at the World on the first day.
I hate to be a wet blanket, but you'll have to really organize your packing versus unlike when we drive we often pack things in the Green Disney recyclable bags. Even though SW doesn't restrict your luggage, we all are limited to on the number of bags by how much each person can carry (or should I say roll). Do you have "Santa" bag coming along too?
I remember our first Christmas time family trip. We left the day after Christmas and stayed through New Years. We surprised the kids on Christmas morning with the trip. We gave each on of the kids a Disney Christmas ornament in their stocking. The boys opened their ornament, threw on the pile and moved on. DD thought for a second and realized that we were planning to go to Disney, but didn't realize we were leaving in 48 hours.
We had a great trip and have return five years straight, the same week. This year will make six. That trip lead us to buying our first DVC contract in March, three months later.
You will will love WDW at Christmas time. In fact the other times of the year, the parks feel naked without all of the decorations.
When do you arrive? Do you have any specific questions about that time of year?
We will depart bright and early on the 19th, and we've done a good bit of homework so far on it... we are planning on mostly sight-seeing, and taking in all the resorts, decorations, dining options, and of course the parks during our trip. It is something my wife has wanted since we got married all those years ago. We just hope the boys will enjoy it as much as we will.
I just love that you and your DW plan this together. I'm the sole planner even though my DH loves his DVC/Disney. The boys will love it because of your excitement. I'll be there with my neighbor at SSR visiting our DDs in the WDW college program. You know, moms can't let their babies celebrate Christmas without family![]()
