I may be missing something, but I haven't seen any posts about Flying Fish @ Boardwalk recently.
My husband and I are Disneymooning in August and I have a res there for our "fancy" sit-down dinner. I do not eat fish at all. (I know, I know- why go to a place with fish in the name?) I am allergic to fin and shell fish BUT! my husband loooves seafood. From sushi to squid soup and everything in between. So my questions are...

How is the seafood? I wouldn't know a good fish if one told me please and thank you.

How is the steak or whatever other non-fish item they may have?

Will they think I'm crazy if I tell them I am allergic to seafood?

How is the service/ atmosphere?

What do you like to do on the boardwalk after dinner there? (8pm res)

The seafood is terrific, and I have always heard great things about the steak there. The service can be spotty. Sometimes you get a good server, other times...not so much.

Jellyrolls, the duelling piano bar, is located at the Boardwalk. There's a $10/pp cover charge, but it's a fun bar. The piano players are all phenomenal.
Nobody under 21 admitted.

My DH and I will be dining there (for the first time) next week. I'll let you know how it is! I wouldn't worry about going there and not being able to eat the seafood. A LOT of people are allergic to shellfish. My sister is allergic and always orders chicken when we go to seafood restaurants!

Love the food.:thumbsup2 The potato wrapped red snapper is soooooo good! I have no complaints and it is on the Boardwalk-what could be better?:goodvibes

My dh swears by the scallops..just loves them. I am not a seafood lover (and that's not a good thing when you live in NE!!!) but I love the filet there. The beef filet there is some of the best I've had. Really good. I've eaten there several times and we do have it booked for August as well.

My BIL is deathly allergic to seafood and the chef personaly came out to ask him how he wanted his steak and to assure him there would be no sight of fish on his dish. they were super nice!

The rest of us are seafood lovers! I thought the crab cake was to die for. It was so fresh & soft. You can tell the chef had just put it together before serving!

We've been to all of the signatures and it is my least favorite of all. I just find the menu to be kinda boring and uninspired compared to others at WDW. The food isn't bad, just not exciting enough for me. I'd much rather be at Cal Grill or Jiko.

Ironically enough...I am the seafood lover, my husband not so much. When we went there last Oct. I ordered the steak and my husband order the potato wrapped snapper. We both LOVE what we ordered. I thought the steak was the best steak I had all week and we were on the deluxe dining plan.

We had a very good server and had such a good time there.

I can tell you that the Flying Fish is my favorite restaurant and I NEVER order seafood! I love the Char-crusted NY Strip, it is my favorite meal on property!!! My wife on the other hand is a huge seafood lover and this is her favorite place too.

The service is always GREAT and the location on the Boardwalk is a lot of fun!

Good luck with it!

my sister and i ate there last december and it was the best meal of our vacation. the atmosphere is nice but not stuffy. i wouldn't count is as romantic as say the california grill but still very nice. you can see the chefs working the grill with huge chunks of wood (and no the place is not smoky). we had the scallops and the swordfish and both were absolutely to die for. a friend who suggested we go there had a steak on their last trip and loved it. they have a full bar...the blood orange margarita was fantastic!!! our waiter (bob) was spot on so we had a good experience there. will most certainly go there again.

We love it there! I love the Potato Wrapped Red Snapper, but my DH ordered the Char Crusted New York Strip and he loved it. I tasted it and it was soooo good! We enjoyed the atmosphere and had the best service ever! I loved their cheese plate that I had as an appetizer and I also ordered the Merlot Wine Flight. I love it there, and can't wait to go back!

We also love Flying Fish. I had the potato wrapped red snapper which was very good. DBF had the scallop entree which was even better. That's what I'm getting next time! The service was also excellent.
