Just back from a fabulous WDW vacation (got engaged!!!)

Had dinner at our favorite, Flying Fish, and Mikael (our second favorite waiter) told us that Robert Curry is leaving this month to return to Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley. He did not know who would be his replacement. I will write a review of FF and the other restaurants we visited on a seperate post. Just wanted to give all the FF fans a heads up!

Also found out if there is a particular fish you would like, you can call them a week in advance and they will do their best to get it for you. Good to know as they used to make a fabulous wahoo dish that we have not seen on the menu since Robert Curry arrived!

oh no, Robert Curry was better than the chef prior to him at FF.
I love flying fish, , that is our favorite restaurant, Frankie is our favorite waiter, he's been there since opening day!
I hope the new chef can measure up... those are some special shoes to fill!!!!

thanks for the heads up, I'll be dining there on April 18th next..

congrats on your engagement - you make a beautiful couple!

Will you marry at the world???:Pinkbounc

Chef Richard isn't it? (perhaps I'm wrong but Robert didn't sound right to me). While I like the FF under Chef Richard/Robert, I respectfully disagree with you Angel, I think Chef Johns offerings were better and what FF became famous for...Thats why we've personally pretty much followed him to the CG...

Laura,

Be sure to post a review of the new chef when you return!

tinkie,
Thank you so much for the compliment! Yes, we are going to have our wedding at the world. We haven't decided on any details yet except we want to have our "reception" in Epcot either at the French Arm or the Italy Isola in the evening. I am really excited!

I'm not sure which Chef I liked more, Robert Curry or John State. Probably John State.

My husband and I so preferred when John was the chef. The Flying Fish was always our favorite and Bradlee always takes care of us and every time we went was amazing.
Another note, Brad the general manager of the FF has left to go straighten out the Yacht Club's dining and room service. The FF's loss is certainly the Yacht Club's gain!
