Flying Fish or Yachtsman's Steakhouse

DH is a steak and seafood lover. I prefer red meat to fish, but can find something easily at FF (probably the steak).

Any recent diners at either or both that would care to give a recommendation.

Flying Fish, hands down.

We had really mediocre steaks at Yachtsman...and found the decor "meh", service just OK and tables incredibly close together for a signature restaurant.

Flying Fish...fabulous food (we've been twice and seen several fish dishes, as well as a steak. All were wonderful...as are the apps & the desserts) We really enjoyed the whimsical, yet elegant decor. The tables are still close together, but felt less claustrophic somehow...maybe because of the big windows? Service was impeccable both times we went.

Flying Fish!! They have great steak and a variety of seafood dishes, I personally love the potato-wrapped red snapper, and the mussels, the dessert there are fabulous as well

I see better feedback about Flying Fish's strip steak than I do about any Yachtsman entree.

Will be going to both in about a month. Neither one is my top signature, but I think Flying Fish is better.

I agree 100%. FF is one of our "must do's" when we're in WDW.

I prefer Flying Fish over Yachtsman. I'm not much of a meat eater but I've been disappointed at the Yachtsman with all cuts except the filet (which you can get anywhere).

well...everyone seems to be on the same page We had an excellent meal at FF about 8 years ago and just haven't made it back. Never ytried Yachtsman - DS7 is a seafood fiend. FF it will be!

Had the most incredible meal at Yachtsman in Feb and it was just incredible...tons of pics in my Feb 11 thread.

FF is our favorite, I always get seafood and DH gets the NY Strip every single time and each time it is out of this world.

we haven't had flying fish yet... but yachtsman is hands down, our favorite meal on property. it's a must do for us every trip! we will probably try flying fish in november.

Although we will re-visit most Disney restaurants eventually, Flying Fish is in our regular rotation, and we will be there later this month even though it otherwise will not be a Disney visit.

The Yachtsman is not.

I enjoy both places, but I Love FF!!! FF and Narcoossee's are my two favorites, then Yachtsman. I guess it depends on what type of menu appeals to you the most. I like the seafood at both Narcoossee's and FF. Although FF has one of the best steaks I ever had. At YM I love their Ribeye.

Have done both in the past 6 months. No question that Yachtsman has the better steak (yes, I did try the steak at FF - my mistake). But if you are serious about wanting something other than red meat you may be happier with FF.

Either way you'll have a great meal!
