Flying Fish Opinions

This is one of our favorite restaurants and our last couple of times we requested sitting at the "counter". It's almost like a chef's table.
You are actually seated at the counter just across from where the chefs are preparing the meals. You can chat with them and it makes for quite an enjoyable evening. Just an added touch.

Forgot to mention that, we did as well and loved it!:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the replies. I feel even better about eating there now. I've eaten at bluezoo and had a bad experience there. Dinner for two of us on a Thursday night took three hours. Most of the food was great to sublime, but the service ruined it for us, as did the Dancing Fish. A great concept, but poorly executed - the sea bass was chewy and fishy tasting, and I spent alot of effort taking bones out. It reminded me of everything I hated about fish as a kid. On the other hand, I'd crawl a mile through angry scorpions to have the scallop/short rib appetizer. That was truly memorable!

Well I guess this is one time I'll agree with a Yankee fan! LOL! We thought FF was fine, but for the money, there are much better restaurants IMO. We also loved Narcoossee's.

LOL, well I'll have to disagree with both of you! Narcoossee's was one of the worst meals I have EVER had. Food and service. Flying Fish was fantastic.

I love seeing other people's opinions on restaurants! It gives me courage to retry places, because if Narcoossee's was truly bad, it would always receive bad reviews.

You are so right, Lzylitnin! I have never skipped a restaurant because it gets some bad reviews here, and I know that if I have a horrible time at a restaurant it could have just been a bad night for them. I take everyone's opinions and experiences with a grain of salt.

I love salt, by the way . . .
