I really hope they don't do that to Flying Fish.

I'm hoping FF will improve. I used to love it. Last year, I had the opportunity to dine there three times. They missed the mark all three times. From service issues to the food (delivering my salad to another diner, then ripping it out from under them and putting it in front of me. Drinks not refilled. Rubbery shrimp. Bone left in the steak, which ended up cracking my teeth. Lack of checking on us after food was delivered. Waited for a very long time for our bill.) Just completely unacceptable for a so-called signature restaurant.

California Grill isn't up to par, either. Poor service. Cold food. The sushi can't compare to what it used to be. We returned to our table after watching fireworks only to find the wait staff hanging out over our table. They literally had body parts overhanging my salad. (big butt) Seriously.

Citricos? Service issues. Entrees delivered literally 90 seconds after appetizers. Drinks not refilled. Check incorrect. The waiter wasn't new, either. He was one of the reasons we had decided to give Citiricos a break from our rotation, several years ago. He hasn't changed. Same problems. What are the odds that we would be placed in his section, twice in a row, 3 years apart?

Our meals at non-signature restaurants were much better than any of the signature restaurants that we tried, last year. We didn't make it to Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, or Jiko. The Wave was fantastic.

Jeap - I 've had great service (F Fish) each time but I know it can be hit or miss when dining out for other diners.

But the renovations aren't going to change service or waitstaff. ?????

The staff will be reassigned and then return when it opens.

Sounds like the renovations will be an improvement (especially with designated area for wine dinners and chef's table)
