Flying Fish- Long Wait for ADR

Hi everyone,

For those of you who have gone to Flying Fish during busy times, approximately how long did you have to wait after your given ADR time? I'm asking this because I'm torn between doing the 5:50 and 7:10 reservation. I had really wanted something around 6:30.

We are just a party of 2 and in the 3 or 4 times we have eaten at FF we have never waited more than 10 minutes (which means we were usually sitting before our actual ADR time). Our ADR's were usually for times between 7 and 7:30.

I was there on Christmas Eve a few years ago - can't get much more crowded than that! We didn't wait long at all - 5 minutes or so. We eat early, like 5:30 range normally.

I would take the 5:50. The earlier the better usually always works because the restaurant has less time to get backed up.

We've dined at Flying Fish a ton of times in recent years and have never waited more than 10 minutes. We usually have ADRs around 7:30.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking about switching my 7:10 to 5:50. We have a five and two year old and enjoy eating earlier anyway. The only thing is that we have a 1:15 lunch at Le Celier, so I was thinking that I didn't know how hungry I'd be 5:50, especially that I want to enjoy my meal at Flying Fish.

What would you do?

LC does not even come close to Flying Fish. Given the ages of kids involved, I would drop your LC ADR, and opt for a smallish/quick lunch, just to hold you over until dinner (think along the lines of splitting a couple of pastries in France). The great thing about the 5:50 ADR is that when you get out, the performers should either be just getting started or will have just started their performances. You will also still have some time to get back to EC to watch IllumiNations if you wanted.

I agree. I would cancel the Le Cellier lunch ADR and go for the early Flying Fish dinner. There is no comparison between the two, FF is much better in every way. And with the ages of your children, I think an early seating is the best thing.

I would go with the 5:50 ADR. The earlier your ADR is for, the less of a chance they will be backed up. And since they don't start seating until 5:30, you shouldn't really encounter a wait at 5:50.

I've always had early ADRs at Flying Fish (before 6), and never waited more than 5 minutes.

Definitely go earlier. We've eaten there many times and usually between 5:30 and 6pm.

The one time I made our reservation for later, around 7pm, we waited almost an hour. I was ready to go home and go to bed, but my husband really wanted to eat there. My daughter fell asleep in my lap and slept through the entire meal.

I made it for 5:50. That was my fear, making it 7:10 and then having to wait an hour on top of that. I am patient, but the rest of my family is not.
