Has anyone been to Flying Fish in the last couple of months? How does it compare to Jiko and Ca. Grill? My husband and I will be celebrating my 40th bday in Disney on Dec. 17 and I can't decide where to have my dinner. The menu looks great and I would like to do a wine flight too. Would sitting at the counter be good? Do they do anything for special occasions? I want to go to Epcot afterward so I like the location. We prefer a more active environment so would Yachtsman Steakhouse be good also or too quiet? Thanks for any info.

It's been 4 months since I ate at FF so I hope that isn't too long ago for you. We love FF, much more than Yachtsman. I think I like Jiko a bit better than FF but DH likes FF better (I think he'd pick it as his fav at WDW). We both feel FF is a step above CG.

The food is excellent, DH enjoys the wine flights. The atmosphere is lively. It's not a quiet restaurant, atmosphere reminds me somewhat of CG. I saw a few people come in and request to be seated at the counter.

Yachtsman is definitely more sedate.

we ate there in september and it wasnt BAD it just wan't "WOW we have to eat ehre again!" just "ok" good food if that makes sense. we enjoyed citricos and narcoossees much more. good luck!

FF is much better than Jiko and a little better than CA Grill. (We have been enjoying both CA Grill and Flying Fish lately). If you want to spend the night in EPCOT, FF is perfect. If you like wine, testing them, etc, why not take a seat at the bar, they serve the full menu, the bartenders are fantastic at helping you choose wines.

Yachtsman, well, we think that place is horrible both food and service wise, and I definately wouldn't waste a special occasion on it.

Just ate there 2 weeks ago! FF is on our must do list each trip. It is a "lively" spot to be sure--last time we ate right at the bar. Time before that, we had dinner at the chefs counter. Must haves are the steak, scallops, or the potato crusted red snapper.

Never been but can't wait to try it in a week. Calamari to start, Red Snapper, and then the summer study in strawberries!! YUM!

We were at Flying Fish a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our meal. We also ate at Jiko and Cali Grill on the same trip, and in terms of food, I think Flying Fish was my favourite out of the three. It's quite loud and busy, and there's lots to look with the open kitchen.

I had my birthday dinner at Flying Fish in August and it was wonderful! Our server was Jacki, and she really went the extra mile to make the dinner special. :goodvibes We will absolutely be going back to FF next year.

We ate at Cali Grill, Citrico's, Narcoosee's, and Yachtsman during the same trip, and we really thought Flying Fish was terrific. :thumbsup2
