Whenever we go to WDW, we go to our all-time favorites b/c we don't want to miss the chance to go back! Because of this, we sometimes miss out on other great restaurants. We are planning one signature dinner, and I'd like to know which of the above you recommend the most. (I would particularly like to hear from those who have tried all 3.) We are a family of 7, with the youngest being 19; and we've never been to any of these. As far as fare goes, we all enjoy seafood as well as beef (and everything else!), so that shouldn't really play into it. Based on total experience (ambiance, food, service, etc.), which would you recommend? Thanks!!

Those three restaurants are all among my top 5 at WDW, so in my opinion you can't go wrong with any of them. Jiko is my number one favorite, but the others are great as well.

Jiko has interesting food with an African accent, a great wine list and wonderful ambience.

Citricos has wonderful Meditteranean influenced food and great service and ambience.

FF is, not surprisingly, seafood based (but it has a great steak as well) and is a little but louder and boisterous than Jiko and Citricos.

Whichever you choos you will have a great meal, I am sure.

Thumbs up :thumbsup2 for Flying Fish. I hear they have the best fillet on property. Last time my wife and I ate half our order then switched plates and finished them off. Our waiter came over just after we did this and had the most confused look on his face. Great service. I have too many favorites!

I agree that you can't go wrong with any of them, but I would take exception to them all bing in the "top 5" restaurants at WDW. My suggestion would be, to check out the menu at each restaurant before you make your final decision (and reservation !). I have been to WDW nineteen times now (over the past fifteen years) and I must tell you that, in almost every instance, the menu of any given restaurant may change dramatically from time to time. Enjoy !

These are 3 of my favs at WDW. It really depends on what you are looking for. I think Jiko and Citricos both have a more adult atmosphere, a little more subdued. Jiko has that darkened lighting that is kind of romantic. FF is a little more upbeat, busy, noisy.

The food at all 3 is very good but very different. My kids, close to the same age range, liked Citricos the least of these 3. I don't know why; that was just their opinion.

Ohhh, tough choice.

Actually, maybe that's an easy choice since there are no wrong answers. :thumbsup2

I guess between the three I'd base my decision on where I was planning on being that day and what the availability was.

Seriously, you'll be happy with any of them so just pick one and put the other two on your list for future visits.:teacher:

We have tried all three.

Flying Fish is definately top of the list. The seafood is excellent, and they also, just happen to have one of the best steaks on disney property. (hubby just orders that sauce on the side).

Yes, the steak is better than shulas (which was horrible) and Yachtsman (which we also consider horrible).

Jiko has had some growing pains lately with staff and is working it all out, but wasn't quite there yet last time we were there. Friends who have been since the new manager said they could see signs of improvement already.

Citroco's, we have had a wonderful server, same guy every time, he is outstanding. Food, reminds us of Emeril's hit or miss.

We tried FF for the first time in August and it was our best experience of the trip. It was fabulous!

We have been to Citrico's twice and really enjoyed both times.

We have only been to Jiko once. We didn't love it, but maybe I was just tired that night. It was near the end of the week and we were traveling with other people so I was down to my last nerve. Also, when our server realized we were not ordering wine he abandoned us, which was not very nice AND has never happened to us at any other signature restaurant.

I did do the little culinary tour of Jiko in august and I really enjoyed it. I tried to get an ADR but it was very short notice and they were booked. We LOVE AKL and always stay there so I am sure we will go back to Jiko eventually.

DH and I did Jiko and FF in Oct ....they were both awesome!! We also book old time favorites but we are finding that by trying new places we love them more than the ones we have been to before!

They are all good but I would rate them as FF, Citrico's and Jiko. Since Chef Annette left Jiko it hasn't been quite the place it used to be.
