How is the food at Flying Fish Cafe? We are going in Sept. on the DDP and hope it is worth the 2 TS credits. There will be 4 adults and 3 children. What are your opinions?
Thank you for all your help.
:yay:

DH and I were there a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. To us, it was second only to California Grill. We haven't been back since having DS since he's not ready for a nicer sit down restaurant yet (or maybe we're not ready to take him :scared: :lmao: )

We love Flying Fish..we rank it right up there with Jiko, Artist Point, Blue Zoo.

My wife and I consider the food outstanding but I'm not sure children would enjoy it.

FF is one of the top restaurants at Disney.

One of our favorites..:thumbsup2 ...but tough to feed our kids.

We really enjoyed Flying Fish. DS6 and DD12 both enjoyed their meals. The red snapper is delish!

We ate there last year and loved it. In fact i had my favorite meal of the trip there the Potato Crusted Red Snapper.

FF is one of the best restaurants at WDW. Have no worries on that.
However, I don't know that any one place is worth using 2 TS credits on.

I don't like seafood. At all. None of it. That said, the rest of the family DH, and kids 10, 11, and 13 like it. They really like shrimp. Will we like this place and about how much will it set us back about?

I love steak however. Is it an adults only kind of place? My kids are a bit older and can you know sit still and all. Will we be frowned on for bringing kids? I wanted to bring everyone because I also hate Chinese food and they love that too. I'd rather eat steak than eat Chinese food. ( We are so picky)
So that is why I'm thinking this place.

What does everyone think?

no problem bringing kids. ours went twice last year.

No problem bringing the kids... especially at the age yours are. We saw several kids there when we were there. That was pre-dining plan. Since the advent of the dining plan, I bet you'll find even more kids there. My DS is 3 and is a little too squirmy for us to enjoy that type of restaurant with him along.

I also don't eat seafood but DH love it, so we went there mainly for him. However I had a steak there that was excellent. Again, this was several years ago, so I can't speak for certain on the quality now.

I know I'm in the minority here, but we weren't WOWed by FF. The place is really pretty, and the food is fine - but I don't put it in the same category as Jiko, or Narcoossee's.

Of course - totally our opinion!
