Flying Fish a Character Meal?

Flying Fish is a Signature Restaurant and hasn't had characters in the past (to my knowledge). It is not listed as a character meal on Disney's website either.

That's a mistake. Although interestingly, Artist Point apparently once had a character meal. I've heard tales of people having breakfast there with Winnie the Pooh!

Signatures for breakfast would be a nice option.

The Artist Pointe character meal was wonderful, so sorry they ended it. So many great things gone. :sad2:

I really miss the Winnie the Pooh and Friends meal at AP :-(

I think it's funny that even 10 years ago, people were still talking about the erosion of Disney dining and cutbacks at Walt Disney World. It's amazing how far we've fallen since the 90's (and how unaware we are).

Oh yes there was much lamenting on the boards 10 years ago about the decline of WDW. Things haven't changed much. But yet we still go.

That's not correct. Flying Fish is not and never has been a character meal. You can send a comment to the website saying it needs to be fixed.

It also lists Brown Derby as having a character meal....which it doesn't.

I suspect it is because FF has Dinner with an Imagineer and BD offers Lunch with an Imagineer. Specialty dining experiences rather than character meals.

As for the changes in character breakfast, I don't see it as a decline just a difference. Many of us miss the experiences that were special for our families but in the meantime, people are making new memories and favorites. Remember the character breakfast on the Empress Lily or Chip and Dale's breakfast at FW? How about when the character breakfast at the Polynesian was in the long since gone South Seas Dining Room off the lobby? Now people love 'Ohana for breakfast while my family still misses the great non character breakfast buffet that was offered there when it was still Papeete Bay Verandah. Things change.
