Flying first class

Seat Guru can be your best friend. As noted by others, some airplanes for some airlines have little more legroom than in couch, while in others, the additional legroom is significant. Also, some airlines, such as United allow you to buy up to a economy plus seat for significantly less than FC. This may work as another option for you. -- Suzanne

Definitely check out seat guru. Legroom(pitch) varies widely depending on what airline you are on, and which plane. I fly American (in first class about 90% of the time) and legroom in first is anywhere from 6-9 inches more than coach. Width of seats varies too.

Shop around for your first class tickets, there are deals to be had, but I personally wouldn't bother with the websites you mentioned. If you are willing to post where you live and where you will be flying to, perhaps some folks here can help you and offer more specific advice for the airlines that serve your destinations. Also go to flyertalk.com, mikepoint.com, traveling better.com, etc etc you will learn a lot of helpful stuff on those sites. :thumbsup2

I am flying from Minneapolis to Las Vegas. The tickets I am finding are 900-100 with occasional ones around 700. I will keep watching and saving my pennies. :goodvibes
