My sister is planning a WDW wedding for the 1st week of Decemeber, 2003. We would need to fly down on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, 11/30. Do you think we would have trouble getting flights and/or end up paying a ton for the fare?

I'm flying down this year on that Sunday for Discon and I got decent airfare. I think because most of the flights leaving Orlando are booked, but arriving are more empty.

I am looking at a flight on that day and it is not cheap. My advice would be to book soon!

We flew down several years ago on the Sunday after, out of Philly, we got to the airport and they where asking for people to give up there seats cause the flight was over booked! We took the bump ( free tickets) we where scheduled on the next flight, they also asked if we would like to give up our seats! we did and got another set of free tickets. The next flight was not direct had a lay over in Charlotte, we got asked to give up our seats there also, flight over booked, we did, got another set of free tickets!! The USAIR rep in Charlotte said this is one of the busiet days with people returning home and back to school after the holidays. I guess the moral is get your tickets early, and hope the flight is not over booked, it is a very busy travel day! Of course if you don't mind giving up your seats for some free tickets, it could be a profitable day!
