Flying back on the date of 9/11...Any thoughts

I've flown on 9/11 and the only difference was they swabbed my luggage at check in, for explosive residue I guess. Then they put a sticker on it. Probably the safest day to fly!

My husband got swabbed once and came out positive because of using gun powder the day before. We got through security anyway. They just asked him what he had been doing.

Actually, I think that people should make a point of flying on that date. Its a way of showing the terrorists how badly they failed in attempting to beat the US into submission.

Couldn't agree more. I have WANTED to fly on 9/11 ever since 2001 but have not had the opportunity to do so...

Fly. I love flying, it's still a great way to travel. I fly so much I can't remember if I've ever flown on 9/11 but nothing beats getting where you want to go in a few hours.

And with over 1.5 billion people flying internationally and nationally every year without crashes, attacks, being raped by so called tsa criminals. it's still a great way to get around.

Flew 9/11 last year (see my sept 2010 TR). Very uneventful. Mad me really reflect on the events that occurred that day. Much more presence of security. Air port was pretty quiet with fewer people. The only thing that was different was I didn't take me camera out while in the airport. Otherwise a perfect day to fly because of the light crowds.
