I am thinking about booking our 2 week trip next year starting on or just after Dec 26, 2004.

We would be flying out of IND. I usually pay around $150-200/pp for our fall trips, and I was wondering if it is typically alot more expensive for my tentative travel dates (on X-mas day or a few days after)? Would it be better to fly on X-mas day or wait a few days? What should I expect travelling at this time of year in regards to air transportation? Any help/comments are appreciated!

So far all of our travels have been during Sept/Oct/Nov, so we have never dealt w/holiday travel.

Thanks again for your help!

There will some decent prices out there for those who are willing to travel on X Mas day or the day after. BE very flexible and if possible look at alternate airport. We fly at Christmas and can find some good deals. Start looking 331 days out and be ready to jump on what you consider a good fare. My feeling is anything non stop under 250 for Christmas is a fair price.

We are flying on Dec 27 and return Jan 3, 2004 and paid $210 for our tickets out of toledo. Have not seen any better price since. I bought my tickets more than 300 days out.
